Connection Issues and Timeouts, and Variable Capture Speed With Zivid camera
Problem
Zivid camera occasionally gives connection issues and timeouts, and/or has variable capture speed, when using certain lower than 10G Ethernet network interfaces, including most USB-based network adapters. This issue, which was related to lower level Ethernet signaling, has been resolved.
Note that we recommend a pure Ethernet connection, not via USB-based network adapters.
Solution
Upgrade to SDK 2.10.1 or newer.
Connect the camera with either a dedicated 10Gb PCI Express network card or a Thunderbolt 3 external network adapter connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port.
We recommend the former option for optimal performance. Check Connectivity and Power Supply for recommended network cards and adapters.
